Four Kings
About
Four Kings is a four player chess variant from India where it is known as Chaturaji.
The current release is 1.1 with the following features:
- Teamplay: allowing for 2 or 4 players
- Dice Based Movement: Dice are rolled to determine which pieces you may move each turn
- Move Assistance: Valid moves are highlighted on the board to help players learn the game
- Points: Points are accumulated each game to allow for multi-game play
- Pawn Promotion: Pawns are promoted when the reach the opposite side of the board
- Throne Capture: A player may capture another's players pieces by moving his king to the throne of an opponent

Game Options
- Use Dice - Players roll dice to determine which pieces they may move each turn
- Move Assist - Valid moves are highlighted on the board, useful for new players
- Teamplay - Players on opposite sides of the board work together to achieve victory
- Throne Capture - A player may capture another player's pieces by moving his king to the throne (starting positon) of another king
Rules
Moves
- King - The same as the King in standard chess
- Elephant - The same as the Rook in standard chess
- Knight - The same as the Knight in standard chess
- Boat - May jump two space diagonally in any direction
- Pawn - The same as the Pawn in standard chess, except no intial two step move is allowed
Standard
- Once you lose your King your team is frozen but your pieces may still be captured
- There is no checkmate
- The player with the last king standing is the winner
- If any team is left with only their King then the game is a draw
- Points are awarded for capturing pieces and can be tallied for multi game play
Teamplay
- In teamplay players on opposite sides of the board work together to achieve victory
- This is a loose relationship and players can still capture their teammates pieces
